MiDAS SOFTWARE

IABG have partnered with KNO to globally promote, demonstrate and distribute IABG’s military software systems. At KNO’s software Demonstration and Training Laboratory in the heart of Manchester KNO and IABG specialist are able to demonstrate and deliver training on IABG’s cutting edge military software products.

MISSION DISPLAY AND ANALYSIS SYSTEM (MiDAS)
MiDAS is IABG’s Mission Display and Analysis System for operational mission control and evaluation of joint combined exercises with simulated and / or real participating systems. It is an advanced software running on commercial of the shelf (COTS) Windows-based computers.

MiDAS is able to import data from various data sources such as but not limited to DIS, HLA, EAG, TDMS, SIMPLE (Link-16). All data is merged and can be displayed in multiple views, screens and tables.

MiDAS has a build-in weapon simulation based on open-source data allowing multi-national exercises while supporting “Fair Fight“ conditions.

MiDAS has an implemented automated event system which supports events such as; Weapon events, Emission events, Counter Measure events, Jamming events and Sensor Data.

Air Force Scenario Manager (AFSM) Provides an intuitive and comprehensive capability to create Computer Generated Forces (CGF) based on the international Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization (SISO) models. Using these models, their properties, the scenario definitions and systems are able to be stimulated on distributed simulation networks. AFSM supports integrated test beds, multi-national exercises, engineers, planners and decision makers.

AFSM generates a wide range of scenarios including complex air warfare missions, Ballistic Missile Defence, Suppression of Enemy Air Defence (SEAD), Deployment of Anti-Radiation and Anti-Ship Missiles (ARM/ASM) as well as Weapon release planning / Targeteering and Weaponeering.

JTAC Live Training System
Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) Live Training System is a modern state of the art Live Training System used to qualify and prepare JTACs for tactical operations requiring close air support.

The System trains the communication between the JTAC und Pilot. During the training the Training Scenario is recorded. Upon completion of the live training session the recorded data is used during the AAR (After Action Review).

LUNA
Provides live monitoring and analysis capabilities to investigate the Tactical Data Link performance (Link 11, Link 11 B, Link 16, Link 22)of C2 and nonC2 units participating in TDL networks (Real or SIMPLE-based) and / or in DIS / HLA Simulation Networks.
Weapon Effectiveness with Universal Vulnerability Model Light (UVML) Component:

UVML evaluates weapon effectiveness to quantitatively determine the Probability of Kill (Pk) for varying employmentof effects / weapon deployment. The Pk assessment is based on expected damage, component failure probabilitiesand target  failure probabilities at the system level. UVML analyses the vulnerability and survivability of effects employment and weapon effectiveness against targets.

KNO provides a total suite of training and support to enhance both offshore and shore-based maritime operations.
